What a great day we had!!!!! We went on all the great rides! Space mountain, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Matterhorn, Buzz Light Year, Indiana Jones, Toon town Rollar Coaster, Haunted Mansion, and more and more and more. It wasn't crowded at all!!! We got a ton of great pictures too. Some funny things happened. When we went into Indiana Jones, and there was a girl from China who was standing at the entrance, we started to walk by her thinking she was waiting for someone but Tracy realized she was scared to go through the line by herself. So Tracy held onto her arm and lead her through the line. When we got to the end of the line, the girl wanted to ride with Tracy, so they rode behind us. The whole time she had a death grip on Tracy, it was the funniest ride ever!!!!!

When we were getting off, Krid dropped her phone on the track and they had to stop the ride and dig it out with a stick. It was GREAT!!!!

Later we were walking by the shooting gallery and a man was out on the porch playing the fiddle, he saw us coming and asked us where we were from, Tracy told him Utah and he started playing Come Come Ye Saints, then he said "what about this one, I looked out the window and what did i see...... " and we finished singing for him. I asked if we were that obvious and he said "YES!"

Last night Kielee called me to tell me about her softball game, I am in California with my sisters and sister in law so I missed the game. She was so excited to tell me about the amazing play she had made. She was playing shortstop and caught a fly ball. Then she tagged her base and got the girl out that had started running to third, she then ran and tagged the girl that was running to second from first and she made a triple play!!!! What an amazing girl we have. I sorry both Kevin and I missed it. Kevin was at another game for Konner where he hit really good! Thanks to a great husband who ran around all afternoon for games and for Shelby for sitting at Kielee's game to support her and Aubri for staying home to watch Jaxon and Jhett. I am the luckiest women in the world!!!

Yard work

Well, the time has come for use to redo our yard. It has been slowing dying in the back for the last few years, every year we work on it and it looks pretty good by the end of summer but we have lots of problems with it. This year we decided to just start over. We have been working for the last month to get ready to plant new grass.  So far we have dug up the sprinklers, tilled up the yard and hauled out more dirt and rocks then you can even imagine. The kids have been great to help and we are finally seeing some progress.  Now if we could just be home on the nice days, we might get more done. We were able to get our new swing set put up on Friday even though it was about 38 degrees outside and the wind was blowing as usual. The kids got home from school and went right outside to play on it. I thought it was way too cold but they had a great time.  You are all invited to come and try out the slide, it is the fastest one ever!!! Here are a few pictures to give you an idea of what we have been doing, keep in mind, we still have to put in new sprinklers, bring in a lot of top soil and put up retaining walls were our garden, swing set and pool will go. Someday soon I will post the finished product!!! (OK it will most likely be sometime in September, but that is soon to us!)

This year for Easter we decided it would be nice to change things up a bit for the future.  Easter at our house has always been about the Easter bunny first thing in the morning. We thought it would be a good idea to make Easter Sunday really stand out for what it should be,remembering the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We talked to our kids and sent an email to the Easter bunny letting him know that we would like it if he could deliver our Easter baskets on Saturday instead of Sunday. He was happy to do so and we were excited to receive our eater baskets Saturday night. We then had a fun Easter egg hunt around the house because it was too cold to go outside, besides the fact that it was dark by then. (next year we might use flashlights!!) The kids had a great time and we really enjoyed our Easter Sunday without the rush of the Easter bunny before church. They kids seemed to understand the reasons for us doing things this way and were able to really think about the true meaning of Easter. I think we have started a new tradition in the New Mexico Kinghorn family.  We hope it will last for years to come.

With the start of softball and baseball things have been busy around here.  Games have begun and we are loving watching Konner and Kielee play. They are both doing really well. We have been wind blown most days but are looking forward to the sun and heat that started again Saturday. The tans should be coming along quite well now that we are sitting in the sun for games and/or practice at least 5 days a week.

Still Alive

Well believe it or not we are still alive here in New Mexico. We have been busy with lots of fun things. Basketball ended and Softball/baseball started. We have had practice 4 times a week and next week will start games as well.  Kielee is playing softball and Konner is playing baseball.  They are both doing great!! Aubri got the rest of her braces on and competed in Destination imagination last month. Her team did well and took home a second place metal. All the children brought home excellent report cards as usual so of coarse we had to take them out to dinner. Spring break has come and gone and we are now waiting for a couple of days off for Easter. I can't wait till summer when we don't have to get up and going so early in the morning. Of coarse that means it will be closer to the time when Aubri starts HIGH SCHOOL  and early morning seminary.  ( I for one am not looking forward to 6am seminary!!! Aubri on the other hand can't wait to go!!) Well my preschool kids are about to come so I had better go. I will try and post some pictures this afternoon.
